About Us

Compassionate Medical Care is committed to providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Our founder, Kelly Drudi, recognized the need for this type of care during the Covid-19 pandemic and set out to make a difference. Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where patients feel valued and receive personalized care that meets their unique needs. Currently, we provide services to five different agencies within the Chicagoland region, and we are committed to expanding our reach to help even more individuals. Our focus is on improving the health and well-being of our patients, while also helping our agency partners decrease their workload.

Kelly Drudi, our founder and nurse practitioner with full practice authority, has over 10 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Her experience and expertise enable her to provide the highest quality care to our patients. Before starting Compassionate Medical Care, Kelly worked in the cardiac units of St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL, and Rush Copley in their cardiac step-down unit. She holds a BSN from St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing and an ANP from Northern Illinois University.

Kelly has independently completed 250 continuing education hours to fulfill the state of Illinois’ requirements for full practice authority. She is licensed with full practice authority in the State of Illinois and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, which was renewed in November 2021. This is to ensure we can provide the best possible care for our patients.

Kelly is also a member of several professional associations, including the Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association (DDNA), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing (ISAPN), and American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD). These associations provide valuable resources and support to our team, which ultimately benefits our patients.
